Attymass
National School, which was completed in 1976, is a solid, well built structure
in excellent condition. It contains four classrooms and a spacious General
Purposes Room, along with a Teachers Room, Offices, etc. At present there
are five full-time teachers on the staff including a Learning Support
Teacher. In addition, the school enjoys the services of a Rural Coordinator
one day per week. There are approximately eighty pupils on rolls. The
children profit from a varied curriculum with access to such activities
a swimming, computers, soccer, Inter-School Gaelic Football, Inter-School
Basketball and gymnastics.
