The Fr. Peyton Centre are celebrating their 20th Anniversary on Sunday 14th October 2018. Starting at 2pm with an exhibition on the Centre’s 20 year history and also on the Rosary Rallies in Ireland. Con-celebrated Mass will be at 3pm, followed by a short Play on Fr. Peyton's life performed by students of Attymass N.S. Light refreshments served. All are welcome. To mark October being the month of the Rosary. the Rosary will be recited on Friday evenings at 7pm on Friday 19th and 26th October. On Thursday 18th October at 7.30pm we will have a human rosary in the Church. A human Rosary is where each person becomes a bead upon the rosary and in this way we join all our prayers which we place before our Blessed Mother Mary and her Son Jesus. All Welcome to come and join Us.
Next weekend of 20th and 21st October we will mark the Harvest Thanksgiving in the parish. Harvest Thanksgiving is a time of sharing with those in need. This year we are asking for people to donate non-perishable goods and toiletries and these in turn will be given to SVDP in Ballina. Goods can be left during Masses at the weekend or to the parish house.

Mayo North East is organising a free Winter Gardening and Maintenance Course for people who are unemployed or in part-time employment. Topics covered will include pruning, planting hedging and spring flowers, ground preparation for spring planting, dividing plants and taking hardwood cuttings. Training will commence in the O’Dwyer Cheshire Home, Swinford one day per week for six weeks on Tuesday 23rd October at 9.30am to 4.00pm.
