Kildermott Abbey - some recovered stonework
Above: items of stonework recovered from the immediate location and the adjacent Ballymore Lake. They have been cemented to the floor to prevent removal. In the centre of the image is one of the the fonts that were found in the lake. Bottom left is a carved stone believed to have been part of an arch and decorated with herbs/leaves. One of two recesses thought to have been used for the storage of vestments can be seen in the wall top left.
Above: Close-up of Holy Water Font recovered from Ballymore Lake.
Above: Two images showing the carving on the recovered stonework.
